Lego will open it first official store in South Korea’s first LEGO Store at the Hyundai Department Store just south of Seoul, this Friday the company announced.
According to the Korea Times:
LEGO Korea said Monday the store has been officially certified by the LEGO Group headquarters in Denmark and differentiates itself from ordinary shops that sell some LEGO sets in its store design.
LEGO Group operates official LEGO Stores in several Asian countries including Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia. Many Korean LEGO fans have visited such stores when they go on overseas trips.
The Korean store will have a comprehensive inventory of LEGO sets, some of which are hard to buy at shops here.
To celebrate its opening, LEGO Korea plans to offer limited editions of sets including “LEGO Store” and “LEGO Disney Castle.” The store will also have Pick A Brick zone, where customers can put together customized sets in standardized containers.
From Friday to next Wednesday, Hyundai Department Store Pangyo branch will run the largest-ever LEGO experience zone for free at Topaz Hall on the 10th floor.
