Apple’s latest iPhone 6s series will be available for purchase through Korea’s three mobile carriers on Oct. 23, with pre-orders are expected to start on Oct. 16.

The devices have been available in the United States and China since Sept. 25.

In anticipation of the release, earlier this week, Samsung Electronics slashed reduced prices on the 64-GB Galaxy S6 to 799,700 won (US$688) from 924,000 won.

LG Electronics also launched the 5.7-inch LG V10 that features for 799,700 won. According to Yonhap, it is rare for a South Korean company to release flagship model with an initial local price of below 800,000 won in Korea.
